Remembering Munni

How would Munni (The badnam one; of Dabang fame) be remembered by fans, if she were a real person and had expired recently? (The eulogy is supported by her infamous song lyrics)

Munni was a legend. The altruist that she was, she sacrificed her innocence and got ridiculed by the society for our sake (badnaam hui darling tere liye). However, she was one of the most popular ladies to have ever lived. Everybody was her fan...even the actors in the Indian film fraternity; from Saif Ali Khan to Amitabh Bachchan (mere peechay Saifu se leke Lambhu khada).

Getting to know her was never easy. She wouldn't entertain paupers (bina ruppaiyye ke peeche pada). But, if you managed to win her confidence, you would never have to worry about money ever again (taksaal hui darling tere liye). We remember times when she would become the antidote for our mental tensions (zandu balm hui darling tere liye). It was so refreshing when she was around. She sort of had the mystical power to rejuvenate us mortals (kar de budaape ko kar de jawan).

The society insulted her for having some vices like cursing (honthon pe gaali) and being inebriated all the time (hai tujh mein poori botal ka nasha), but she was bighearted nevertheless. She accommodated all of us in her heart and ensured that our lives were as grand as a fantasy movie (cinema hall hui darling tere liye).

After death, she became that big emptiness present in our hearts (seenay mein hole hui darling tere liye), which can never be filled. Her death is still being mourned by the entire male community and also by her close aides, Sheila, Chameli and Jalebi Bai...

RIP Munni
