The BrEaK Up

I took a flight to LA to meet my girlfriend.
That is where she told me,our relationship should end.
I asked her for a reason,
she said trust - violation,
that she'd been sleeping with my best friend !

A tremendous blow was received by my innocent little heart.
I asked her it was something from my part.
She said 'twas something different,
she was no longer interested,
and I should also quit if I were smart !

Somehow in my mind this thing wouldn't unfurl.
I thought,on her,all the caustic words I'd hurl.
For a while I stood dumbfounded,
as the situation unfolded,
and I recalled that my best friend was a girl !!!!!!!
